Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
Kife is a Licensed and Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She is a graduate of University of Texas Health Science Center-Houston with a Master of Science in Nursing. She is also an alumna of Michael E. DeBakey High School for Health Professions, the University of Texas-Arlington where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and of University of Houston-Clear lake where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration and a Master of Business in Business Administration.
Kife is a member of Psychiatric Advanced Practice Nurses of Houston, American Nurses Association and Sigma Theta Tau, the international nursing honor society. She has psychiatric nurse practitioner experience in private practice outpatient and in a long-term care setting serving those with dual diagnoses at the Brenham State Supported Living Center where she was their first psychiatric nurse practitioner having served there years prior as a registered nurse. She also has psychiatric nursing experience in emergency room, inpatient and outpatient settings from The Harris Center for Mental Health & IDD (formerly MHMRA of Harris County). In addition, she has nursing experience on the medical side as an operating room nurse from Texas Children’s Hospital and Ben Taub General Hospital, a level one trauma center.
Kife has special interests in integrative and holistic medicine. She enjoys empowering patients into taking an active role in their health care plan while she supports them through education and encouragement.
