Does Benjamin’s Behavioral Health Services accept insurance?
Yes! Benjamin’s Behavioral Health Services is currently in-network with the following insurance carriers: Seton (with the exception of Seton Star and Seton Alliance Health), SIMS, ComPsych, Magellan, SmartHealth, Vista360 Health, FairPrice, Blue Cross/Blue Shield (with the exception of out-of-state HMOs and Blue Advantage), Beacon Health/Value Options, Aetna (with the exception of some HMO plans and carve-out plans such as Aetna TRA Medicare), Oscar, and United (with the exception of River Valley and Medicare or Medicaid plans).
We do not accept any Medicaid or Medicare plans including Medicaid, CHIP, or Texas STAR. We only accept one Affordable Care Act plan (Blue Cross Blue Shield HMO).
Regrettably, as of September 1, 2017 we are no longer in-network with Humana.
Does Benjamin’s Behavioral Health Services file claims for out-of-network carriers?
We will submit claims for insurance carriers with which we are in-network. We do not file claim forms for any insurance companies that we are not contracted with, however we will be glad to mail you a receipt which includes all of the necessary information for filing claims with your carrier.
Will Benjamin’s Behavioral Health Services verify my insurance coverage before my first appointment?
Our staff will verify your benefits prior to scheduling your intake appointment. During this process your insurance carrier will provide us with an estimate of the cost of your visit (also known as a quote of benefits). Please be aware that this is only an estimate and is subject to change until you have received a final Explanation of Benefits from your carrier. This also applies to established patients who have changed insurance carriers or plans.
Are there fees for other services provided by Benjamin’s Behavioral Health Services?
Additional fees will be assessed for specific services (e.g., completion of forms and letters, legal testimony, etc.), late cancellations, no-shows, or abuse of the emergency line. Please call the office to inquire about these fees.
When will I be expected to pay my copayment or deductible?
Payment of copayments, coinsurance, deductibles, or self-pay rates is due in full at the time of service. Waiver of these dues may constitute fraud under state and federal law. We will have no choice but to reschedule your appointment if you are unable to pay for your visit at the time of service (except in the rare case of psychiatric emergencies).
